Why a Palestinian State wasn’t created in West Bank and Gaza between 1948 and 1967?
Zionists poison all the social areas they can, including the Internet. They write down captious questions in forums or message boards. One of those questions is: Why a Palestinian State wasn’t created in West Bank and Gaza between 1948 and 1967? It refers to those territories which were under Arabian administration before the Zionist occupation.
This article has the answer for such question and tries to help any honest reader who supports the Palestinian people and their just vindication of their national Arabian Palestinian entity; the regaining of the usurped lands and the creation of the secular State in the historical Palestine, without racism, Zionism and religious fanaticism.
To have a clear and forceful answer we need to go back in time and analyze the Palestinian tragedy in a socio-political way. We can start by saying that in order to have a State we need a defined national entity and a political and intellectual representation to achieve it. These two requirements didn’t exist in Palestine for the following reasons:
q The social entities in the Arab world were not politically defined because they were just social groups represented in the unified Caliphate State.
q Palestinians were represented by this Caliphate like the rest of the Arabs until the downfall of the Ottoman Caliphate.
q After the downfall of the Ottoman Caliphate, the Palestinian people were under the tutelage of the World War I winners, more specifically by the British Mandate, stated by UN.
q The creation of the Zionist State led to a great number of Palestinian refugees like never seen before. They lived in the Palestinian territories and in some Arabian ones which were not usurped yet.
q The Palestinian territories of West Bank and Gaza are under the administration of Egypt and Jordan. This administration is social and not political. Contrary to what happened with the Arab countries that were formed as a result of the fall of the Ottoman Caliphate
As we can see, after the Ottoman Caliphate downfall, the Palestinian people were under the tutelage of different political administrations. They didn’t have their own political and intellectual representation for a long time. Now let’s go back to the captious Zionist question: Why a Palestinian State wasn’t created in West Bank and Gaza between 1948 and 1967?
We have seen that the territories of West Bank and Gaza were under the Arabian administration with the tutelage of their Arabian brothers and the Arabian League. Their identity papers were in those Arabian administrations in the United Nations. They had the status of refugees which was given by UN and since then they’ve been struggling for their daily survival and without a political or national entity.
They wanted to keep their identity as a country and this firm will oblige UN to recognize them a Palestinian refugee and not just as Arabian refugees as Zionists and their colonialist supporters wished. They wanted the refugees to be mixed with the Arabian society so they could lose their rights to come back to their homes in Palestine.
The generation of Palestinians that were expelled from their lands and homes (Generation of Al – Nakba «disaster»), together with those from West Bank and Gaza were a generation without enough strength for fighting and didn’t have a political representation. They were in the hands of the Arabian tutelage which had a clear political division and a different point of view of the Palestinian problem and its possible solutions. Finally this generation of Palestinian developed a different vision and different points of view.
During the 60’s things turned worse because of the violence the Zionist used when trying to control the water resources of River Jordan. This situation led to the second generation of Palestinians including the refugees who wanted to achieve a national entity vindication.
At this point, the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) was founded following the Arab League decision. We can say here starts the recognition of the Palestinian people as a national Entity within the Arab world.
Meanwhile, an intellectual elite had forged among the youngest generations which studied in Arabian countries and were formed there too. These elite had a great influence among young people and this helped them to get into many homes and refugee camps and they spread socio-political concerns. The intellectual elite raised, among other things, the need of the Palestinian people for taking charge of their destiny, politically, socially and intellectually. New parties and movements were born and they collaborated with the vindication and liberation of Palestine, for example, Palestine Liberation Organization (Al Fatah), Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) among others.
The military operations of such organizations in the usurped Palestine became the interest of important sectors of the Palestinian and Arabian population, obtaining moral and economic and political support.
The situation of OLP under the Arabian tutelage did not satisfy those movements and in 1969 the organization was politically assaulted.
At the beginning of the 70’s the Palestinian intellectuals, politicians and military represented their people founding the Palestinian National Council immediately after the occupation of West Bank and Gaza in 1967 by the Zionism.
In this way the captious Zionist question: Why a Palestinian State wasn’t created in West Bank and Gaza between 1948 and 1967? is answered .
We can also add that more socio-political events and circumstances had influence in the Palestinian cause and its national entity but I think an answer focused on the lack of a Palestinian national entity between 1948 and 1967 is more than enough.
Finally I want to say to everyone and especially to the youngest that the national representation of the Palestinian people was a not a given gift, it was the achievement of a political and military struggle which took its toll on lots of people’s lives. There were many sacrifices since the creation of the Liberation Movement; there were also mistakes, failures and achievements. The most important goal was the National Entity which was locally and internationally recognized, after being ignored and treated like a group of refugees without identity in their eternal diaspora.
My friends, the purpose of answering such question is to defend the right of Palestinian people who are the legitimate owner of the historical Palestine and its right to vindicate a Palestinian national entity, a secular and democratic State based on human Rights and brotherhood no matter their religion.
Please do not hesitate to ask for information or explanations if you ever have any doubt. I don’t want to bother you with a long article, just feel free to ask. My greetings to you all and as we say in Spanish: “lies have short legs” and Zionism won’t get further anymore. Viva Free Arabian Palestine!
